How did I know there'd be more to tell? Well, call it intuition. Anyway, United Airways not only charges for your first checked bag, but when you get on the flight they charge you for refreshments TOO! Ridiculous... I sent them an email about this whole "get over" scheme they've got jumping off and this is what they had to say...
"Gas is high, and what?"... basically.
Apparently, my once (as in no longer) beloved Airtran is following suit starting in December. So remember to check the baggage fees before you purchase your tickets.
